This educational trail invites the whole family to discover the Alzette valley and learn about the forest along the way. No textbooks, no lectures—the landscape is a life-size laboratory. You can learn about the alluvial process and see all kinds of protected birds that are part of the European Natura 2000 network. The spectacular results of the watercourse restoration project will leave you speechless! The starting location is close to the water purification plant.

Did you know that the Luxembourgish Renette apple lasts until July, that an orchard can contain up to 2,000 varieties, and that most fruit types are propagated by grafting? You can discover all this along the educational route “Den Apel”, just a few steps from the centre of Schifflange. The path was created in the municipality's orchard and includes numerous learning stations so you can learn a lot while walking.

Only 3km long, the ‘Am Brill’ educational walking trail is an ideal activity for kids. This lovely walk through a nature reserve offers the opportunity to learn about animals, insects and plants along the way. Visitors young and old can enjoy the variety of birds and to the west of the Moulin Bestgen is a playground for little ones who might be less interested in walking. There are plenty of carousels, climbing structures and swings to spark the imagination, offering fun, joy and a little magic for the entire family.
