Take a trip through the past and learn everything worth knowing about the culture, history and natural environment of Merter at 12 stations with a total of 26 information-packed signs. A short loop (3,2 km) takes you to the culturally significant places in the village while a longer loop (9,5 km) takes you up to the Widdeberg with open panoramic views of the Mosel and Syr valleys.

In Mertert, where the Moselle and Sauer rivers meet, a fountain and an old-fashioned pavilion provide romance along the culture trail. The park also offers an outdoor fitness course, a boules court, a tree adventure trail, a playground and water playground, and much more. Events and concerts are held all over the year in the idyllic park.
