The Auto-Pédestre hiking route Schieren starts in the village center, at the church. It guides you along the Kiselbaach, which it leaves after just under one kilometer to turn right. Now you make a large loop around the Knuppen, the hill in the east of the town. Soon you reach the highest point of the route and can take a break. Shortly before Matgeshaff, you turn right to get back to your starting point through the forest, passing Colmar-Berg.

A hiking trail perfect for a spontaneous afternoon trip: You start in Schieren, at the monument by the church, and then leave the town behind you. The trail takes you across wide fields and dense forests. Finally, you look down on the town from atop before heading back again.

The four running routes link the Nordstad municipalities of Diekirch, Ettelbrück, Erpeldingen-Sauer and Schieren. Set off on a single route or combine several – the choice is yours! Each running route has its own character, with different distances and elevation profiles. For an extra challenge, a special task awaits you on every route.
