The first 25 km of this route lead leisurely and flat along a bike path along the Sauer and Moselle rivers. In Mertert, the route leaves the bike path and leads over a little-used side road through Manternach and the romantically wild valley of the Syr to Biwer. Then follows a long, steady climb to Consdorf. A fast descent takes you through wooded and rocky sections along a country road to Echternach. After an extra lap around Echternach Lake, the route ends after an eventful 59 km at the starting point in Echternach.
