Truly in the heart of Europe, this route starts. The Our valley narrows and steepens quickly to the south. A short but challenging ascent leads you to the "Königslei," where fantastic views over the valley open up. The Our used to host thousands of freshwater pearl mussels. If you're lucky, you'll see dragonflies shimmering in the sun and brook trout sparkling in the crystal-clear water. Perhaps even a black stork will make an appearance.
