Beaufort, Ennescht Heed

This easy route starts at Route de Reisdorf, first leading through a forest and then across an open plain with a beautiful view. The return path goes via a nice serpentine path over the Alebuerg (remains of an old defensive wall) and past Klaisgen (small chapel 50 meters to the left of the route). After that, it is not far back to the starting point.

This easy hike mainly runs on wide forest paths and starts on the Route de Reisdorf. The route leads into the forest, down to the Birkbaach, and then up to the plateau north of Beaufort, alternating between deciduous and coniferous trees.

This short hike starts at Route de Reisdorf and follows a narrow forest path along the rock formations at Birkbaach. After about one kilometer, the Hercules Head becomes visible, a rock with the side view of a face. The return path goes through a slightly higher-lying wooded area.

The ExtraTour B is located in the area between Beaufort and the Sauer valley. Beaufort, with its medieval castle ruins, is an important excursion and travel destination in the region. The path starts in the center of the village towards Dillingen and leads through an old quarry that has recently been made accessible again. On the hill above the Sauer, the path then leads to Bigelbach. On this section, hikers can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the valleys of Our and Sauer. From Bigelbach, it goes through a forest area up to the Beaufort plateau; near Berens, the path reconnects with the Mullerthal Trail.
