The mural created for the youth centre in Bettembourg explores the emotions that teenagers experience. The various figures are beginning to gather their own experiences, displaying different activities and interests typical of young people. Since individualism plays such an important role at this age, each figure has its own distinctive style. Nevertheless, they operate as a community, ready to break free, embrace new adventures and discover the world.

The Minett Trail is a 90-kilometer long hiking trail that runs across the Minett region. In ten stages, you can experience smaller and larger towns as well as eight nature reserves. These impress with old forests and former open-cast mining areas. With the steep rock faces, the red earth, and mine entrances, they are unique in Luxembourg. On this section, you hike through the nature reserve "Beetebuerger Bësch" and further through the rural south of Luxembourg between Bergem and its cultural center "Beim Nëssert" and the train station of Bettembourg. Although you won't find the characteristic red earth of the region on the way, you will find plenty of nature — at a short distance from the capital. For example, in "Beetebuerger Bësch," you will find several small ponds that make the area very varied. The course of the Minett Trail also takes you through many small picturesque villages in the countryside, providing a good contrast to the otherwise rather densely populated south of Luxembourg outside the nature reserves. Please note: Due to ongoing work around the paths of the Minett Trail near Bettembourg, a trail section has been closed and rerouted. The new route is also newly signposted.

All kinds of fun and games, exercise and relaxation to do with swimming and wellness – it’s all there at the “An der Schwemm” swimming and wellness centre. For water babies, there are pools for both proficient swimmers and beginners, a waterfall, a paddling pool with mini-slide, and the spectacular 40-metre-long “Black Hole” slide with sound and flashing LED strobe lights. Afterwards, you can relax on the roof terrace or at the juice bar. The sauna complex features two Finnish saunas with infrared therapy lights, a steam bath, plunge pool, Kneipp pool and a rest area with deckchairs. A bistro with outdoor terrace, a small shop and a restaurant add the finishing touches.

10 meters tall and colorful: the "Ris" of the "Parc Merveilleux" is probably the best-known resident of Bettembourg. With its red hat, checkered pants and blue sweater, it is the unmistakable emblem of the animal and fairy tale park opened in 1955. Together with artists Andy Genen (illustration) and Lucien Czuga (text), a comic book was created that sends the "Ris" on a journey together with his friend, the parrot Lori. Follow the giant of the "Parc Merveilleux" in Bettembourg on this circular route. Along the way, which is specially aimed at children and families, visitors trace the path of the "Ris", discover the story at augmented reality stations, and see several sculptures and other artworks. The route also exists as a shorter version (7 km)
