The rose-themed walking trail starts at Walferdange railway station and leads through the municipality’s three villages. Along the way, a guide and information panels explain the connection between Walferdange and roses. The walk ends at its highlight, the rose garden with its many varieties, where you can relax. With a distance of 5 km and only slight elevation, the trail is easy to walk and ideal for families.

In the rose garden opposite the train station visitors can admire various traditional and modern rose varieties from Luxembourg. The garden also features sculptures by the Luxembourgish artist Jean Bichel. The benches of the garden invite to linger and relax.

This discovery-rich route leads through the unique nature reserve “Sonnebierg” – along old railway tracks that recall the closed gypsum mines in Walferdingen – to the impressive “Raschpëtzer” facility, a still intact underground aqueduct system with imposing dimensions from Gallo-Roman times.
