The castle overlooks the picturesque village of Larochette, giving it a very special character. The first buildings on the site date from the 11th century and are situated on a promontory of Luxembourg sandstone and dominate the valley of the Ernz Blanche, a tributary of the Sûre, by about 50 metres. A fire in 1565 reduced all the buildings on the site to ruins. The house in Créhange is the only one to have been restored in a more consistent manner during the 1980s. Temporary art exhibitions and occasional concerts fill the historic walls with life. Last admission is around 5 p.m. Nearest parking: on site, at the entrance to the site. Nearest bus stop: Larochette, Spuerkeess (300 m)

The Textile Museum in Larochette is dedicated to preserving and presenting the rich history of the textile industry. Housed in a historic building that once served as an industrial station hangar, the museum offers visitors an insight into the traditional techniques and machinery used in textile production. The second part of the exhibition was realized as part of the awareness-raising campaign “Rethink Your Clothes” and is located in the building of the municipality of Larochette. This campaign is run by the NGO Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg on behalf of Luxembourg's development cooperation.
