Vianden, Piscine

On the initiative of the ViArt asbl Art Association and in collaboration with the SEO (Société Electrique de l'Our), German artist Klaus Dauven, with the assistance of Kärcher, is creating a "Reverse Graffiti" artwork. The motif depicts the faces of five workers who were involved in the construction of the structure. The dam, with its lower reservoir, upper reservoir, and underground facilities of the pumped storage power plant, is located in Vianden. Immerse yourself in the fascinating fusion of art and architecture and experience this unique artwork that honors the history and the people involved in the construction of the structure.

First, you go up the serpentine path to Luxembourg's only chairlift. Here you can enjoy the view over Vianden all the way to the castle. Afterwards, the path leads you back down into the valley, where you follow the riverside promenade to Bivels. The rocky border trail "Lätgesbierg" offers an almost alpine experience with a magnificent view. After so much up and down, stopping in Vianden is worthwhile.

During ascent and descent of this route you can let your eyes and thoughts wander. Sometimes the Our valley lies at your feet, then you discover Falkenstein Castle in the distance, and during the descent Vianden presents itself with castle and river at its finest. For connoisseurs, there is even the possibility at the mountain station to float down to the valley by chairlift.
