After an initial short descent, the route starting in Eppeldorf climbs for about 10 km via Larochette to Christnach. Leading through the charming village, it then goes through a beautiful forested landscape, first downhill and then ascending along the Schwarze Ernz to Blumenthal. The route passes through small roads by nicely located small villages such as Brouch, Berbourg, Bech, and Herborn. Shortly after Herborn, on a longer descent with a short ascent in Osweiler, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Echternach. Behind Echternach, the route follows a gentle course along the Sauer. A final climb leads back to the starting point in Eppeldorf.

Eppelpress-traditional farming and more Apple trees have always been of great importance for Eppeldorf and its surroundings. The mainly old fruit trees are typical for our landscapes and they attract attention. In 2008, Jean-Paul Friederes decided to give a new impulse to his farm by creating a business called Eppelpress situated on his farm in Eppeldorf. Therefore he installed a modern fruitpress with the main objective to produce apple juice from regional fruit. In addition to this, Eppelpress wants to inspire to plant new fruit trees and preserve old fruit orchards by giving an additional use to the regional fruit. At harvest time apples can be brought by anyone to Eppelpress in order to get apple juice from his own apples in the practical bag-in-box packaging. People, who are not lucky owner of an apple tree, can purchase: 100% natural apple juice and other delicious fruity preparations on the farm of Jean-Paul Friederes: various juice mixtures (apple-elderberry, apple-elderflower syrup, apple-pear, apple-cherry, apple-sea buckthorn, apple-carrot) 100% pure elderberry juice, fruit syrups (elderflower syrup, elderberry syrup), jams (strawberry, red currant-raspberry, black currant-elderberry, quinces, cherries, blackberries, plums) Let yourself be seduced by the quality and taste of the Eppelpress products, available directly on the farm or at different resellers stores. Don‘t hesitate to contact Eppelpress for more information.
