The Berdorfer Kéis is a well-known specialty from Luxembourg. This cheese is produced in Berdorf using only milk from the farm itself. The Schmalen dairy was founded 40 years ago from a simple idea. René Schmalen learned cheese-making abroad and began experimenting on his own. Today, Monique Schmalen runs the business. The milk comes from their own cows. In addition to Berdorfer Kéis and Roude Bouf, the dairy also produces yogurt, quark, and ice cream. Berdorfer Kéis is especially popular in different flavors. The production is artisanal and carried out with great care. In summer, there is also a beautiful terrace in the courtyard where you can enjoy all the products on a snack platter or try a delicious ice cream.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of drinking water by visiting the 55m-high Aquatower in Berdorf. There’s an exhibition with various interactive exhibits on the theme of “Water and Geology”. A special highlight is the climb up to the 50m-high lookout platform, from where you can enjoy a stunning view of Berdorf and the surrounding area. At the foot of the tower are some benches to relax and opportunities for children to play with water.

The hiking path B11 starts at the street “An der Heeschbesch” in Berdorf. It is very short and easy to walk, therefore well suited for families. However, the path is not suitable for strollers! The trail initially follows the stream and goes through the rock formations of Berdorf. You can only reach the Huel Lee if you take a detour (about 150 m long) to the left after approximately 800 m. The Huel Lee is a human-shaped cave. In the past, millstones were hewn out of the rocks here. The rest of the path first continues through the forest and then returns on a paved country road back to the starting point.

The parish church of St. John the Baptist was built in 1830 according to the plans of architect Peter Schaar from Grevenmacher and consecrated in 1847. During the Second World War, the steeple burned down after a lightning strike. A new one was built behind the nave between 1949 and 1950. It was used for many years as the water tower of Berdorf. The most famous feature of the parish church is a big stone that shows four different Roman gods. It is used nowadays to support the altar. It used to be the pedestal of a Roman Jupiter column, edified in a Roman Villa (300 m south-western from the parish church).
